ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:
It’s a Knockout in more ways than one. The Knockout looks great, but the reason it bears this name is that we’ve “knocked out” a piece of the lightweight aluminum handle and inset a stainless-steel plate to create a frame lock that we’re calling a Sub-Frame Lock® You get the lightweight benefits of anodized aluminum handles and the strength of a steel frame lock with integral lockbar stabilization. The Knockout also features SpeedSafe® assisted opening. It’s equipped with our new deep-carry clip and is drilled for quad-carry: tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed. Made in the USA.

About our Sub-Frame Lock®

Kershaw uses the Sub-Frame Lock® to create an extremely sturdy locking frame in our G-10 handle. This enables us to make a larger knife that is still light enough to carry every day. One side of the handle is fitted with an inset plate of stainless steel. The stainless-steel plate is integral to the frame and is the part of the frame that moves into place behind the blade to secure it. Release the Sub-Frame Lock® just as you would any other frame lock.
